Abstract (EN)
This thesis is a description of a project that is currently under development. With this study, the thematic maps, which are under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Mapping (GDM), which is the national mapping agency of our country and produce the most thematic maps, are standardized to the maximum extent and integrated into the file geodatabases (FGDB) to be established. Afterwards, these databases were transferred to enterprise geodatabases (EGDB), and it was ensured that the updating processes of all thematic maps were follewed and managed. In the first parth of the thesis, the problems encountered in keeping the thematic maps up to-date are mentioned. In the second part, general definitions related to the subject are given, and in the third part, the thematic map production stages are explained. In the fourth chapter, what was done in the project of managing multiple thematic maps from a single vector database was explained and the applications developed were introduced. In the fifth chapter, the results of the project are mentioned. In the application phase of the thesis work; 656 thematic maps in different scales, extents, sizes and projections produced by GDM were transferred to the newly established archive system by making 1st data arrangements and updates, and 559 of these maps were integrated into one of 3 different FGDB's established on a scale-based. Then, second data arrangements were made over these databases and transferred to SQL-based EGDB. Vector data and raster data used in this study were obtained from open sources and GDM. ArcMap application belonging to Esri company was used as the map production program, FGDB and EGDB were used as the database. Open source PostgreSQL server is preferred as database management system in EGDB.
