Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this thesis study is to analyze the financial performance of 9 companies traded on the Borsa Istanbul Tourism Index between the years of 2015-2019 with Data Envelopment Analysis and to compare company performances. For this purpose, the data of the companies were compiled from the balance sheet and income tables taken from the Public Lighting Platform and analyzed under 3 models. Financial activity measurement was made with Data Envelopment Analysis by including 9 tourism companies as Decision Making Units. All analyzes performed during the application were analyzed using input-oriented CCR and BCC models using the EMS 1.3 package program. In addition, the performance rankings of the active companies within themselves were determined with the super efficiency analysis. As a result of the study, the opportunity to measure the effectiveness of companies and compare themselves with other companies has been provided. In addition, it has been determined which companies need to refer to effective companies and how much they should change their input and output in order to be effective. Some suggestions were made within the framework of the results obtained. It is thought that the results obtained will contribute to company investors, creditors and related literature.
