Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to place the subjects of plant morphology, anatomy and systematic in the Curriculum of Biology Lesson in Secondary Education and to evaluate the suitability of practice based on the students' point of view and their interests, expectations and skills. This research was conducted with 400 students. Two data collection tools prepared by the researcher were used and the opinions of the students were recorded via those. Furthermore, biology course books for secondary schools were reviewed in order to determine the subjects' positions in the curriculum. The class levels studying plant morphology, anatomy and systematic, the field content of the subjects, social content, provided images, practices/activities, outcomes relating to the subjects and the content of the course books, terminology and data regarding the subject were issue of this paper. As a result of the research, except from the endemic plants, plant have the necessary place in the course books. The field content related to the required subjects are thought to be too much. However the learning outcome complies with the content. The majority of the targeted outcome became permanent for the students. The Latin words are too much and there are some challenges in learning terms and notions. The aim is not defined neither in applications nor in the events. The related applications/events don't fulfill the students' expectations and are found insufficient by them. According to the results about the illustrations, they are sufficient but non-striking and their explanations need to be optimized.
