Copper-gold-silver and nicel occurrences associated with Bizmişen-Çalti iron oxide deposits

This study comprises some geological and geoochemical researches ofBizmişen (Kemaliye-Erzincan) Cu-Au-Ag-Ni field. Mta has been proceedinggeological research around Bizmişen-Kemaliye-Erzincan district wich host the studyarea, sınce 2004 ın the context of ``Eastrn Anatolian Polymatal Exploraition Project?'Contact metamophic skarn formation at the study area involves replacement ofUpper Triassic-Upper Cretaceous Munzur Limestones and tectonically imbricatedDivriği ophiolite of Upper Cretaceous aged by Upper Cretaceous-Paleocenegranodioritic rocks exposed northern magrin of the Eastern Tourid Orogenic Belt.Endoskarn and exoskarn zones are developed in igneous rocks consisting of diorite,granodiorite and quartzdiorite and in their contact with host rocks. Ore minerals weredeveloped mostly at the intruzive contact and within the host rocks, whereas barrenskarn minerals were developed within intrusion and toward the outher limits of theintrusion. The field observation and petrographical analyses in this study haverevealed that mineralization and alteration assemblages hosting Bizmişen-Çaltı ironoxide deposits display similarities with those defined in Iron Oxide-Copper-Gold(IOCG) type deposits.
