Abstract (EN)

CYTOKINES AND HUMORAL IMMUNITY IN RENAL TRANSPLANTATION ABSTRACT In this study, 11 cases with chronic renal failure who were undergone renal transplantation and 25 healthy controls have been encountered. Serum IL-6 levels were studied in patients and healthy controls by microelisa, serum CRP and f^M levels by RID. Serum IgG.IgM and IgA levels were measured in the patient group by RID. Serum IL-6 levels of the patient group was significantly higher than those of controls, 1 hour after transplantation. CRP levels of renal transplant recipients were elevated 24 hours after transplantation. Serum immunoglobulin measurements (IgG, IgM, IgA) were found to be normal or a little increased in the patient group. Serum 82M levels of the patient group were higher than those of controls. Serum S>M levels were observed to be decreased in all of the patients' samples after transplantation. Key words :Renal transplantation, Interleukin-6, C-Reactive Protein, f^-Microglobul in, Immunoglobul ins. IV
