Fundamental analysis of companies in the mining sector of Borsa Istanbul

Fundamental analysis is an important tool used to analyze a company's financial performance, financial structure, and its position within the industry. The aim of this study is to reveal the general trends, strengths, and weaknesses in the sector by using methods such as comparative table analysis, trend analysis, percentage analysis, and ratio analysis on the financial statements of companies operating in the sector. At the same time, it aims to assist investors and sectoral stakeholders in making informed investment decisions by providing information about the financial status of the companies. The companies analyzed in the thesis are PRKME and RUZYE, which operate in the Coal and Lignite Mining sub-sector of the Mining and Quarrying sector listed on Borsa İstanbul. The fundamental analysis study was conducted based on the financial data of the companies from 2020 to 2024. Based on the obtained results, interpretations and recommendations regarding PRKME and RUZYE were made. KEY WORDS: Financial Analysis, Fundamental Analysis, Mining Industry
