Abstract (EN)
Burdur, which has been one of the places where weaving has been done from past to present, is known for its Alaca and İbecik Cloth weavings. Alaca Weaving and İbecik Cloth, which played an important role in meeting the needs of the society and being a source of income in the past,, are not woven as much as before today with the development of technology and industrialization. It is aimed to revive the production of Alaca Weaving and Ibecik Cloth today, to increase its recognition, to bring it to the economy, to adapt it to today's women's clothing designs designed in accordance with today's fashion understanding, to expand its usage area as clothing in daily life and to transfer it to future generations by contributing to its sustainability. For this purpose, the general scanning method was used. A literature review, one of the qualitative research methods, was conducted, sources were archived, and studies on the subject were examined. In addition to the literature review, field research was conducted and face-to-face oral interview technique was used. Authorized persons from institutions and organizations were visited, necessary written sources, visuals, past and present examples of weavings were tried to be determined and the products produced were examined. Within the scope of the research, interview forms were prepared and the information obtained based on the answers given to these forms was compiled. In line with the information obtained, based on today's examples of Burdur hand-woven fabrics, contemporary women's clothing designs consisting of 17 designs suitable for the fashion trends of the season and today's fashion understanding were prepared and produced. During the design and production process, the inspiration source and target audience were determined by examining the trends of the season, and an inspiration board, material and color board were created. Sketches and technical drawings of the designs are prepared in digital environment. Fabrics and materials were provided, and patterns for the selected designs were created. Garment production reports and cost forms were prepared Cutting and sewing processes were completed and the designs were transformed into products. Fashion photographs of the prepared designs were taken and the collection was presented. It has been shown that local fabrics produced in many parts of Anatolia, such as Burdur Alaca and Ibecik Cloth fabrics, can be used in today's garment designs.
