Abstract (EN)

Imams Burhan al-Din al-Hakami and his grandson Ali al-Hakami are considered among the most diligent and knowledgeable scholars of the Banu Mutair tribe, who contributed to the dissemination of knowledge, particularly in their homeland, Yemen. They authored several works in various Islamic sciences, including Tafsir (Quranic exegesis), Fiqh (jurisprudence) and its principles, and Aqidah (creed). This manuscript consists of two copies: we have relied on the Nur Uthmaniyya copy as the primary source and the Konya Library copy as the secondary source. This Tafsir is regarded as a simplified yet concise interpretation without any omissions. The two imams' commentary focused on explaining the meanings of the verses, interpreting them, identifying the reasons for their revelation, and mentioning any relevant legal rulings found in the verse. This research comprises an introduction and two main sections. In the introduction, we discussed various topics, including the study's subject, significance, scope, and other relevant aspects. We also outlined the methodology followed in this study. The first section presents the biographies of the two imams and an introduction to the manuscript. The second section is dedicated to the critical edition of the text. In this manuscript, the two imams utilized various sources from different Islamic disciplines, including jurisprudence, hadith, Quranic readings, morphology, and others.
