Abstract (EN)

In the history of Islam, the first person who informed people about religion and showed the true path is the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). This sacred duty is carried out, today, under the guidance of religious officials, especially imam-hatib and muezzin-kayyım. These activities, which are evaluated within the scope of common-public religious education, have been carried out in our country for nearly the last century under the control and supervision of the Presidency of Religious Affairs. The Presidency carries out serious activities for citizens in this field. Nowadays, in this context, outside the regular education given by Qur'an teachers in Qur'an course, common religious education continues to be given regularly by preachers on certain days, but more often by imam-hatib and from time to time their assistants of muezzin-kayyım. At this point, professional qualifications of imam-hatib and muezzin-kayyım are important. In this study, it is tried to examine the professional qualifications of the religious officials and their roles in the common religious education with different aspects.
