Abstract (EN)
The subject of our research is "Marriage in Bursa Province Osmangazi District Villages". Our study area covers twenty-eight villages connected to Osmangazi district of Bursa province. These villages consists of Büyükdeliller, Küçükdeliller, Güneybudaklar, Seferiışıklar, Karaislah, Soğukpınar, Çaybaşı, Bağlı, Uluçam, Güneybayırı, Dağakça, Mürsel, Kirazlı, Tuzaklı, Hüseyinalanı, Süleymaniye, Doğancı, Gökçeören, Yiğitali, Avdancık, Seçköy, Selçukgazi, Durdane, Karabalçık, Gündoğdu, Aksungur, Ahmetbey and Çağlayan. In the study, compilation techniques and methods such as observation and interview were used. The tools used to collect data in the compilation are voice recorder and camera. This study consists of Introduction, four sections, Conclusion, Source Person Directory, Bibliography, Appendices and CV. The introduction consists of the titles of "Subject, Field and Purpose of the Study", "Method of the Research", "Geographical Structure and History" and "Basic Concepts". The first part of the thesis is called "Pre-Marriage". Under this title, issues such as marriage styles, opening a fortune, expressing the will to marry, age of marriage, the features sought in the bride and groom candidate and the stages of marriage are discussed. The second part of the study is titled "During Marriage". In this section, determination of the wedding date, wedding preparations, henna and wedding dinner, aunt/friend and best man, henna night, groom's entertainment, giving a mansion, buying chicken, preparation of the bride, groom's shaving, bridal taking, bride lowering, wedding (square weddings, hall weddings), wedding gifts of the guests, marriage, groom and nuptials are included. In the third chapter, titled "Post-Marriage", lifting the groom, take away the bride to the water, shaving the groom, hand-kissing, to see the bride, the bridial mawlid and family relations are explained. The last part of the study is titled "Cultural Changes related to the Tradition of Marriage" and includes an evaluation of the cultural changes seen in pre-marriage, during marriage and post-marriage traditions. Then comes the result, Source Person Directory, Bibliography, Appendices (Population Information of Bursa Province Osmangazi District Villages, Villages According to Their Distance to Bursa City Center, Local Dictionary, Review Questions, Photos).
