Abstract (EN)

The traditional use of essential oils in aromatherapy provides numerous health benefits. Essential oils, which are volatile mixtures of organic chemical compounds, are increasingly used in aromatherapy as well as in various products such as cosmetics. In this study, a natural component product was developed using essential oils (EY) used to relieve nasal congestion. Jojoba oil, coconut oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil and cypress oil were used in the formulation. Single and combination essential oils were determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The presence of various components in the formulations was determined by GC-MS analyses. It has been evaluated as aromatherapy for relieving nasal congestion using a combination of essential oils. Additionally, the stability and antifungal, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects of some essential oils used as samples in our study were also studied.
