Abstract (EN)
Because of the advantages of different production processes and cost advantages, plastic raw materials are preferred for the materials used in different sectors like automotive, white goods and medical with high production quantities. Besides their advantages, because of their complex properties, during production with plastic raw materials different problems can be observed. Warpage is one of the most common problems which is faced after plastic injection molding process. In this study warpages observed after plastic injection molding of a refrigerator door profile used in a white goods company and effects of different design modifications are investigated for different designs. Analysis of alternative design modifications are made and plastic injection mold of the profile is modified according to the design with best results. Warpage of the door profile produced with modified mold is compared with analysis results.
