Abstract (EN)

The period of the Isauria dynasty, which began with Leon III in the year 717 when the Byzantine Empire was under the throne, ended in the year 802 when the Empress Irene was raided by a revolt. Byzantine, under the rule of the Byzantine Empire and the so-called Isaurian Dynasty, Byzantine became a powerful empire. However, the iconoclastic struggle that started with Leon III and was supported by his son V. Constantinos did not only affect the history of the empire in religious terms, but also caused negative events in many directions in the empire. In addition, the struggle against the Abbasids, Franks, Bulgarians and Hazars was also intense and exhausting these years, when the Isaurians were in power. In our thesis, we discussed the important political, social, economic and religious events of the empire during the period of the Isauria dynasty which was under the rule of Byzantine for about 85 years and the relations of the empire with other states.
