Abstract (EN)

Turkey is a country with very rich sectarian diversities, and its roots can be explained by countrty's geopolitical position and historical dialogue. Within this diversity, the Jaafari, who are frequently mentioned in both printed and mass media in the month of Muharrem, they are in a very remarkable position in terms of the mourning rituals and torment councils which they have continued for about 2 monthswithout interruption. In sectarian structures in Turkey, there are no mourning ceremonies for so long in the rituals related to the massacre of Hussein and his family. Even within the well-established and systematic rituals of senior domains, Muharrem mourning is called as "masumu paklar" (unspotted and pure ones) and ended by cooking ashoura (Noah's pudding) after three days of fasting followed by a 12-day fasting (or at the end of the 12th day or at noon time of the 12th day); Mourning rituals in Jaafari sect are organized in different names (tasua night, ashoura, sham-i gariban), imam's seventh, erbain...)by deste (bouqet group) from the first day of the month Muharrem until the end of the month Safer, and continues with the torment councils. In our country, large ceremonies held at the Yahya Kemal Beyatlı Cultural Center in Halkalı Square, which is now built on that area, every year in the days of Ashura and Erbain, 10th Day of Muharrem and the 40th of the Imam. These ceremonies, Hz. Ali's son Hz. Hüseyin and 72 sons (these 72 people have their own children, sons of ben-i Haşim) Karbala is remembered in the presence of anhydrous represents the age of the martyrs of Karbala. In this study, with the participation of thousands of Jaafari in Istanbul, the general forms of the elegiac poetry, and laments (deste) read in the ceremonies and torment prayer assemblies have been examined; and Erbain and other torment councils have been partilly included into the study since the mah-ı matem mourning rituals continued after Ashura until the end of the month Safer From the middle of the 20th century, culture-oriented interdisciplinary methodology approaches have led us to "Cultural Elements" in musical analyzes that we have done, and emphasized the effects of cultural influences to take into account their functions on musical forms. There are no areas, religious rituals, social interactions, or social figures on the social structure that the culture does not react to, so it is possible to come across productions where cultural traces spread in every area of life in Islamic culture, there is a special situation of music, in which many different ideas are put forward. Some argue that it is sin, while others say it is not. There is a special state of laments in Jaafari sect. It is a functional task in terms of understanding and defining the effects of the musicals (mersiye, sinezen(deste) and zeban-i haller) that are mentioned in all aspects of Karbala event, whichhas come into being due to the issue of caliphate in Islamic History. Our goal in this study is to present an objective contribution to research questions within the context of researching by making analytical inferences under the guidance of scientific data, drawing attention to the fact that phenomena come to the point of events rather than transposition of a comparative cultural or theological event. The study was initiated by explaining the pre-Islamic Arabic culture in order to avoid this research deviate from the main axis; because it is not possible to describe and evaluate the reformist (innovative) movement proposed without explaining the positive and negative aspects of the existing structure and within the social norms. This study is based on the chronological history methodology and periodical representations and their social memory effects, the social-political-economic structure which makes necessity a new movement (structuring) notified by Islam, and musical forms of works determined on the basis of all these descriptive passages. This work, named laments (Mersiye and Sinezen) in Jaafarism, is a subject that has never been studied on the musical field. Despite the fact that there were literary works prepared about the lament, there was no music based study covering the troops practiced in the rituals of the Jaafari sect. For this reason, data collection studies have been carried out with many methodological methods in the study. In addition to the limitation of written sources (note, lyrics), the fact that the sources of the historical limitation are translations from Persian, Arabic or other languages, and the lengthy data analysis phase took a long time. This research was based on interviews with working groups, especially programmed through field research and review methodology, as there was no review of the marshals in the Jaafari sect. This study is consist of four chapters and all sub-headings related to the subject are examined in detail in order to find an objective answer for the research question. In the first part, the methodological approaches of the research, the purpose of the study and the answers to the questions were explained. In the second part, the management understanding and socio-cultural life of the pre-Islamic Arabian Peninsula were examined and the information about Islamic History and Islamic Religion and the Islamic Civilization founded on the Arabian Peninsula and Isna-Aşariye (Jaafari) in opposing approaches and basic philosophy and practices have been explained. In the third chapter, the theoretical basis about the thesis is presented and the rituals about this sect are presented and then the institutional representations of this belief are introduced. The fourth chapter is organized as musical analysis, the notated works are examined in form, rhythm of lament and procedure and within this data, the effect of working in the result part is explained. Key words : Ashura, Erbain, Jaafaria, Kerbala, Sinezen, Elegy (Lament), Zeban-i hal
