Abstract (EN)

Kipchak Turkish, which exists in the Kipchak Steppe, which covers a wide area starting from the Caspian Sea and the Ural Mountains to the banks of the Danube River in Europe, to the Central Volga in the north, and to the Crimea in the south; It existed from the 13th century to the 17th century. Kipchak Turkish, which continues to exist in this wide area as well as in Egypt and Syria, was directly affected by the political transformation in the Kipchak area with the rapid deterioration of political stability after the collapse of the Golden Horde State and the occupation of Kazan by the Russians in 1552. This transformation also caused Kipchak Turkish to weaken in terms of written language and to remain mostly limited to oral literary works. The aim of the research is to evaluate the influence of Russian in the Contemporary Kipchak Group Turkish Dialects, which are used in a wide range of areas, in terms of cultural vocabulary. The linguistic interaction between the Kipchak Group Turkish Dialects and Russian has continued for centuries. With the Russians dominating this geography during the Soviet Union period, the interaction accelerated in favor of Russian and there was an increase in the number of Russian words in the Kipchak Group Turkish Dialects. In addition to the fact that Russian was the dominant language in the geography where these dialects were located during the Soviet Union period, the promotion of Russian as a compulsory lingua franca stands out as an important factor in this increase. Within the scope of the research, cultural studies in the dictionaries of Karaim Turkish, Crimean-Tatar Turkish, Kazan-Tatar Turkish, Karachay-Balkar Turkish, Kumuk Turkish, Bashkir Turkish, Kazakh Turkish, Karakalpak Turkish, Kyrgyz Turkish and Nogay Turkish, which are among the Contemporary Kipchak Group Turkish Dialects, are included. Words belonging to the vocabulary will be identified and the influence of Russian on these words will be discussed. In exemplifying the words, texts written in the Contemporary Kipchak Group Turkish Dialect and Russian texts will be used. Language, which can be described as a culture carrier and cultural transmitter, inherently interacts with different languages. This interaction can sometimes have an impact on the cultural vocabulary of the language. The effects on the vocabulary of a language can provide researchers with various data about the development and future of that language. For this reason, determining the effects of Russian loan words in the Contemporary Kipchak Group Turkish Dialects on the cultural vocabulary will provide important data about the current situation and development processes of these dialects.
