Abstract (EN)
This study, which touches on the place and position of women in society from past to present, deals with women as both a consuming and a consumed object. The body, which has been transformed into an object of consumption, has been objectified and turned into an object of desire. The woman and her body are kept under control and surveillance by the power and are transformed into an object of spectacle. In the culture we live in, the woman is the object of the male gaze. The body is sexualized as the source of desire and pleasure. In today's post-truth era, images shared on social media sexualize the body and make pornographic the woman who is the object of the gaze. The sexual perception of the female body and the emphasis by its sexualization in the work of art has led to the objectification of the body. The woman and her body have been the main material of art as an object of desire and pleasure. The way nude and nudity are handled and the image of art that exposes the body creates pornographic and erotic imaginations as a prisoner of the voyeuristic look. The power-dominated society shows the beauty, sensuality, impressiveness and seductiveness of the woman, whom it makes the object of art. In this research is a due diligence study, it is explained that in the masculine culture society, from the past to the present, the female body is seen as an object of view as an object of spectacle. The representation of the body in art, the imaginations created to watch women and the way the artists handled the subject were examined, and the examples in the works of the artists were explained. It is aimed to explain how women are handled in the works of the artist, which artistically handles the objectified woman and her body as a source of desire and pleasure. The use of ceramics as a means of expression from past to present and its plastic attitude that adds value to the artist's narrative and its structure that strengthens the possibilities of expression have always influenced artists. It affected not only the artists but also the audience. Within the scope of this report, which deals with women and their bodies by making use of the narrative possibilities of ceramics, ceramic application studies were carried out. Studies dealing with the concepts of desire, pleasure and gaze have been made based on body parts and it has been tried to explain that woman is an object of spectacle. In the studies, which are handled in a plastic language, the erogenous parts of the body are focused and the strengths of the studies are emphasized by showing the erogenous limbs of the woman, which is seen as an object of viewing.
