Cahit Koytak's life, poetics and poems

Cahit Koytak, who published his first poem in 1970 in Diriliş journal owned by Sezai Karakoç, occupies a unique place in Republic Period Turkish poetry with his writing and publishing activity of over half a century. In the first half of this study, titled "The Life, Poetics and Poetry of Cahit Koytak", the poet's life story was recorded, starting from before his birth, childhood and family environment. This section was written primarily by interviews conducted with the poet, articles written about the poet, especially by his close friends, and poems that reflect some aspects of the poet's life. Poem publishing activies of the poet for over half a century and his views and takes on poem publishing were covered in the second section titled "Publication Activity". In the third section of the study, poetics of the poet was constructed through articles written about him and his poems. Poetry of Cahit Koytak and his understanding and definition of poetry were listed as headings. In the fourth section of the study, the sources of Cahit Koytak poems were explained. Commonly used themes were identified and thematic approach of the poet, as well as his views on concepts that form the themes, were explained in the fifth section. Poem language and style was assessed in the sixth section. In the final section, findings obtained were summarized and listed. Keywords: Poem, Poetics, Language and Style, Theme.
