Abstract (EN)

This research aims to address the status of nurses, especially working in Aydın-Nazilli State Hospital by investigating the levels of employee stress and motivation. Stress and motivation are the factors affecting people's lives positively or negatively. In this regard, the level of stress which nurses face in working conditions and its effects on their motivation are closely investigated. As a profession which requires an intensive care and work, the nursing causes a lot of stressful situations to happen. Organizations, irrespective of the type of work, want their employees to do their jobs willingly. However, this situation does not help the employees to avoid various problems. Institutions or organizations are required to highlight the method of motivation to overcome such problems. While solutions to eliminate stress are given with the efforts of an employee and the management, the motivating factors should be given enough importance as well. Our survey has been conducted on 140 nurses, and nurses exposed to stressors in a hospital environment are introduced. Also, in terms of both a matter of overall health policy of the institution and the institutional policies applied in private hospitals, this also tries to determine whether or not those factors are motivating and to what extent.
