The effect of employees 'work safety awareness and job motivation on safe behavior: An application in Giresun

One of the biggest problems encountered in business life is undoubtedly occupational accidents. Studies show that 98% of work accidents are preventable. Increasing occupational safety awareness with the occupational health and safety training of employees, which form the basis of occupational health and safety practices, will play a key role in preventing occupational accidents. Within the scope of this thesis, it is aimed to reveal the effect of occupational health and safety awareness and work motivation of manufacturing sector employees on their safe behavior. The research was carried out with employees working in the manufacturing sector conveyor factory in Giresun province, and 91 people were reached with the judicial sampling method. Questionnaire method was used as a data collection tool in the study. The questionnaire form consists of 4 parts and 38 questions. The results of the study were analyzed in the SPSS 22.0 program, the findings obtained from frequency tables, factor analysis, reliability tests and regression analysis results were interpreted and solution suggestions were presented.
