Investigation of employees' perceptions of crisis management skills on Malatya Central Municipalities

Crisis is any event or process that affects a person, an organization, a community, an institution or a country by dragging it into an unstable and dangerous situation, and it is a phenomenon that deeply affects the ongoing order and working conditions of organizations. Organizations need to allocate the necessary resources, create infrastructure systems and strengthen their equipment against possible crises. In this context, an important factor in coping with the crisis is that organizational managers are ready for the crisis and are knowledgeable and skilled in management issues during the crisis. The subject of the research is to examine the crisis management skill perceptions of employees through Malatya Central Municipalities. The aim of the research is to measure the perception levels of administrative staff working in Malatya Central Municipalities and unit managers regarding their leadership skills in the crisis management process. In this context; A quantitative research method was used. The research data were obtained by using the "Crisis Management Skills" scale and a 5-point Likert. In order to confirm the scale, Cronbach's Alpha coefficient and confirmatory factor analysis were used. The data obtained from a sample group of 538 people participating in the study were analyzed with the SPSS program. During the analysis, the hypotheses of the research were analyzed and verified by the T test and the Anova Test. With the findings obtained as a result of the research, evaluations were made and various suggestions were presented.
