Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of the research is to examine the mediating role of job involvement in the relationship between perceptions of organizational democracy and contextual performance. The data were collected via a survey from 273 employees of a state university by using non-random convenience sampling method. Confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, independent sample t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, simple linear regression analysis, hierarchical regression analysis and Sobel analysis were used in the study. As a result of the research, it has been determined that there are significant relationships between job involvement, contextual performance and employees' perceptions of organizational democracy. It has been determined that perceived organizational democracy has a statistically significant and positive effect on job involvement and contextual performance. It has been determined that job involvement has a statistically significant and positive effect on contextual performance. In addition, as a result of the study, it was determined that job involvement has a partial mediating role in the relationship between employees' perception of organizational democracy and contextual performance.
