Abstract (EN)

Although Bituminous Hot Mix (BHM) pavements initially provide high performance and comfort, factors such as traffic, lack of maintenance, climate, and other environmental conditions lead to permanent deformation, cracking, and peeling. BHMs have been modified with different organic, chemical, and recyclable additives to prevent deformation. Various alternative organic additives are also being used to modify BHMs because of the difficulty in obtaining and processing the Elvaloy additive, which is available in various modifications with bitumen, and its high cost. The pine extract was obtained by extracting sap from dried pine trees. Within the scope of this thesis, the modification of pine extract with hot bitumen mixtures was investigated. 50% Pine Extract - 50% Elvaloy+PFA, 66.6% Pine Extract - 33.3% Elvaloy+PFA, 83.3% Pine Extract -16.6% Elvaloy+PFA, and 100% Pine Extract with bitumen which has penetration class B 50/70 specified ratios were used to compare the performance superiority of the modified bitumen in short-term ageing, long-term ageing, and rheological properties. The modified bitumen mixed at certain ratios was suitable for different PMB classes, although they were below the limits of the elastic rebound tests.
