A research on the effectiveness of combating customs violations in international road transportation

Customs Smuggling is faced by all countries that want to register and grow their economy; It is a big problem that they must fight intensely and decisively. As the economies of all countries of the world, that trafficking also serious damage to Turkey's economy, undermining social justice, disrupting social peace and undermine citizens' confidence in the state. Smuggling in customs in our country has become an important security issue that can be obtained with unfair advantage in a wide range of internationally related national and regional scales, organizations and structures using various methods and tactics. It is necessary to deal effectively with smuggling from a holistic perspective. This study aims to determine the effects on the effectiveness of combating customs violations encountered in international road transport. Within the scope of the study, it was aimed to determine the problems encountered in the fight against smuggling and to offer solutions to this issue by creating a questionnaire form in practice.
