Abstract (EN)

For reasons such as aesthetics, manufacturing speed and economy, steel lattice roof systems that have two basic options recently, namely steel plane and space cage system in modern reinforced concrete and steel structures, and wooden construction roofs of which construction possibilities expand with the application of various techniques, are frequently preferred for crossing large openings. In parallel with the application of various techniques that enable the change and development of wood and steel material, the possibilities of the construction systems, whose roof systems are created, have also expanded. * Vertical system roofs, which provide protection from climatic factors and control the entrance of air, heat and sound to the building with vertical carriers belonging to horizontal span systems, are the building elements that have an effective vertical appearance in shaping both the exterior and interior spaces of the building as well as being open systems. (* Ching, Francis D.K., Onouye, Barry S., Zuberbuhler, D. (2013). Carrier Systems with Drawings, (First Edition). Istanbul: Feed Publishing, 135-248.) As part of this thesis study; The literature review has been carried out and the sections through which large openings made with wood and steel elements are passed, roof types-functions, wooden and steel roof systems, wooden fitting, suspended and trussed wooden roof constructions with roof system, structural steel roof frame, steel rigid frames, roof trusses, calculation methods and space frame systems were researched within the scope of steel roof constructions, and structural and structural comparison of wooden and light steel roofs were made. The standards used in the production of roofs in our country and in the international arena, the resistance reactions of the wood and steel material used in the production of these systems during the fire and earthquake, their advantages / disadvantages compared to the materials used in other systems were examined within the framework of the concepts of construction and construction, wooden and steel three-dimensional structural roof systems were synthesized on the building samples and construction systems were emphasized.
