The structure of labor market and general view of working life of province Çanakkale

Economic activities occur together with the production factors. ?Labor? asone of the production factors makes building stone of the labor markets by?producing human? factors of economic activities. Therefore, labor marketswhich occur by encountering the labor supply and labor demand, are important forconstituting economic activities.The number of people in the country, the number of people in workingage, the number of people in labor force, the proportion of employed andunemployed population and the labor force participation rate affect theidentification of the source of labor supply of a country. For that reason, laborsupply should be identified to determine the applicable policies which can be usedfor increasing the employment rate and reducing the unemployment rate. But,because of the difficulties in data compilation and not to be given enoughpriorities to the statistical registrations, micro level studies stayed very limited.Thus, in this study, it has been tried to create structural characteristics of the labormarket of the province Çanakkale.In this study, employment in the province Çanakkale has been analyzedaccording to the age groups and their status in the public/private sector.Employment has been examined according to the economic activity, occupationand status at work, and migration problem in the province has been attractattention. In addition, formal and informal education, labor union activities, non-governmental organizations, wage structure, social security, health and security atwork and followed policies for fighting with unemployment have been examinedfor the province Çanakkale, and according to the result, general evaluation hasbeen carried out for the working life of the province. In this manner, a micro levelstudy which can be used in the studies at future for the beginning of the studies,has been carried out for both labor market and working life for the provinceÇanakkale.
