Abstract (EN)
This thesis includes the investigation of the behaviour of concrete plates containing steel fiber. For this purpose, steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) specimens were produced by using steel fibers with 65 and 80 aspect ratio in contents of 15 kg/m³, 20 kg/m³ and 25 kg/m³. C30/37 concrete class with a slump value of 15 cm was taken as reference in the research. Workability and fresh unit weight tests were performed as fresh concrete tests. Compressive and splitting tensile strength tests were performed on hardened steel fiber reinforced concrete specimens, respectively. Standard 150mm×150mm×150mm cube specimens were used for compressive strength test and standard 100mm×200mm cylinder specimens were used for splitting strength test. In addition, the fracture energies of steel fiber reinforced concrete were determined on 600mm×600mm×100mm plate specimens. Based on the test results, increases in compressive and splitting strengths were obtained with increasing steel fiber content. The improvement in splitting strength was higher compared to compressive strength. Significant increases were obtained in the fracture energies of SFRC plates depending on the steel fiber aspect ratio and content.
