Abstract (EN)

The study area is located in the Sorgun district of Yozgat province in the north-east of Central Anatolia Region. Within the study area there are the Campanian-Maastrichtian, Eocene, Miocene and Quaternary aged units. The Lower Eocene Celtek formation within these units is characterized by rocks identified as bituminous shale. XRD, SEM-EDS, thin and bright section analyzes were carried out for the determination of elemental contents of bituminous shale of Lower Eocene aged Sorgun basin Celtek Formation from ICP-MS technique, pyrolysis analysis for TOC content, mineralogical fixations and organic petrographic studies. Quartz, feldspar, calcite, dolomite, pyrite, kaolinite, chlorite, mica, illite, smectite minerals were determined according to XRD and thin section data. According to PAAS (Past Arceen Shale), it is determined by calculating the average enrichment factors that the samples are enriched and consumed elements. According to this, it has seen that in almost every depth in the number Ç drill samples Ti, Cr, U, Th, Mo, Pb elements, in the whole basin average Ti, Cr, U, Th, Mo, Pb, Zn elements and in the number SJ samples in almost every depth Cr, U, Th, Sr, Pb elements, in the whole basin average Si, Mg, Ca, Na, K, Ti, P, Mn, Cr, U, Th, Cs, Sr, Mo, Pb elements were enriched. Total Organic Carbon (TOC) content of the samples is high. In addition, the vitrinite reflections of the samples were measured and it was seen that Rmax varied between 0,318 - 0,617. According to this, it is seen that the samples are in the range of Lignite and Lower Bituminous Coal according to the degree of coalification. Organic petrographic studies have generally detected macaques such as ulminite, densinite, gelinite, and corpohumininite. The source of element enrichment in sediments can often be of different origins. It has been observed that the chemical content of minerals in bituminous shales contributes to the element enrichment. Key words: Çeltek Formation (Sorgun, Yozgat), Bituminous shale, Organic matter, Inorganic element, XRD, ICP-MS.
