A study on the effect of environmental factors to hotel prices

This thesis aims to examine the impact of forest fires on hotel pricing in tourism areas. Forest fires are known as events that threaten natural beauty and tourist attractions. Such fires can affect tourist demand, hotel occupancy rates and pricing. This study evaluates the direct and indirect effects of forest fires on the hotel industry and examines how these effects are reflected in hotel pricing. The study examines the effects of forest fires on the tourism sector. The impact of fires on tourist demand and bookings is analyzed. How the effects are reflected in hotel pricing is analyzed. The data set obtained was evaluated with various statistical software. Considering the statistical results, it is seen that the impact of forest fires on hotel pricing in touristic regions is quite high. In addition, no change was observed in hotel room sale prices outside the fire zone. In the hotel on the border of the fire zone, on the other hand, it was observed that there was an increase during and after the fire period.
