CHP in party inspectorate reports muğla during World War II

Within the framework of CHP Party Inspectorship reports, the political, social, and cultural conditions of Muğla during the years of World War II will be examined. In particular, the reports kept by Dr. Rıza Levent and Fazıl Şerafettin Bürge, who served as CHP Party Inspectors between 1939 and 1945, will provide insight into the situation of Muğla and its surroundings during these years, as well as how the administration of the CHP and the state was handled in the province, districts, and subdistricts. This research will be conducted for the first time in Turkey under this title. The Party Inspectorship was established as an inspection mechanism to deal with both internal and external opposition, monitor the party organization, and strengthen central authority. The Party Inspectorship divided the country into different regions and carried out inspections through inspectors and members of parliament. These inspections covered party organization, People's Houses (Halkevi) activities, as well as social, cultural, economic, educational, sports, and health-related efforts. In Muğla, the inspections carried out by party inspectors and Muğla's members of parliament resulted in reports that provided significant insights into the party's activities in the region. These reports played a crucial role not only in internal party supervision but also in addressing the demands and complaints of the public. The Party Inspectorship holds an important place in the history of the Republican People's Party (CHP) and contributed to ensuring the smooth functioning of the party's internal structure.
