The concept of value in Cihan Aktaş's stories and novels

The main purpose of this study is to examine the value concepts in Cihan Aktaş's stories and novels. In the first part of the research, the definition of value, its features and functions, the concept of value from various aspects (religion, philosophy, psychology, sociology), the classification of values, Cihan Aktaş's life, works and literary personality are emphasized. In the second part of the research, in which the descriptive general scanning model was used, Cihan Aktaş's works in 13 stories and 5 novels were scanned in terms of 20 determined values and notes were taken. As a result of the scanning, first of all, the values were handled under the headings and explained by making definitions. In addition, tables containing the work and page numbers of the values found in the works have been added to our study. By making quotations from novels and stories, the aspects of the concept of value in the works were determined and a conclusion was reached about values. As a result of our study, the values of belief, love, cleanliness, and the importance given to the family were found to a great extent in the related works, while the values of frugality and freedom were less emphasized. Negative messages about the concept of value were not found in the analyzed works.
