Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the yield, yield components and fiber technological features of different Zinc (Zn), Boron (B), Magnesium (Mg) applications in cotton. The study was carried out as the Randomized Complete Blocks Design with four replication under Siirt ecological conditions at 2017. In the study, Stoneville 468 cotton variety and % 9 zinc, % 11 boron, %16 magnesium sulfate fertilizers were used as materials. The study included 10 different (control, Zn 45, Zn (45+60), Zn (45+60+75), B 45, B (45+60), B (45+60+75), Mg 45, Mg (45+60), Mg ( 45+60+75)) applications. According to results obtained in the study, significant differences were determined between applications in terms of seed cotton yield, fiber yield, gin turn out and number of bolls. Significant differences were obtained between the applications in terms of length but there were not significant differences between the applications in terms of other fiber quality properties. The highest values in terms of cotton yield and fiber yield were obtained from foliar application in Zn (45+60) period. B (45) and Zn (45+60+75) applications were also in the same statistical group as Zn (45+60) applications. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the application of foliar Zn as two times in 45 and 60 days after sowing provided a significant increase in seed cotton yield , application of boron ones in 45 days after sowing provided a significant increase in seed cotton yield and fibre lengt as well and it may be beneficial to apply magnesium in suquaring period for high yielding and better fibre quality.
