The comparative studies between Kyrgyz Turkish language and codex cumanicus: phonetics

In this study has compared the words in Kyrgyz Turkish language with the words in dictionary of Codex Cumanicus which has a very important treasury value for the researches of Northwest Turkish dialects and Kypchak languages from the point of Turkish language history. Also, this study looked through common words in two languages in terms of phonetics and made effort to show similarity and difference between them. Because of the phonetics is the fundamental issue of the language. The material of our study is limited by Codex Cumanicus dictionary which complied from Kypchak dialect in the XIV Century and Yudahin?s dictionary, and it includes arised similarities and differences by comparing of phonetics in two languages. Also, the diachronic and comparative methods used in our study. Phonetics study between Codex Cumanicus and Kyrgyz Turkish language is very important as one of the first scientific comparative studies. In the conclusion of our study, Codex Cumanicus dictionary which complied from Kypchak Turkish dialect in the XIV Century and modern Kyrgyz Turkish language are examined in terms of phonetics. And this study has tried to give the historical formation of words in Kyrgyz language by the similarities and differences between two languages. When Kypchak Turkish language showed the exchange and development which were depending on place and time, Modern Kypchak written language and especially Kyrgyz Turkish language showed very little exchanges. The treasury value of words in Codex Cumanicus has left the inheritance for the Kyrgyz Turkish language.
