Abstract (EN)
As a result of the trade liberalization efforts in the world competitive power, countries' inclusion in this competition and measurement of competitive power at product, sector and country levels became important. The aim of this dissertation is to measure the competitive power of Antep pistachio, which is a major agricultural exportable and a geographical indication, and to follow the changes in competitive power before and after geographical indication registration. The measurements are carried out by Lafay's and Balassa's revealed comparative advantage methodologies. In the analyses Turkey's competitive power against USA, Iran and China is measured. Findings suggest that Turkey has a competitive power in world markets of Antep pistachio and this advantage does not change against China. However, for USA and Iran in some years Turkey has competitive disadvantage.
