Abstract (EN)

In 2019, Turkey faced an extraordinary situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. In that process, an abnormal life was observed with the implementation measures and the number of deaths. In this context, individuals were examined during the pandemic process, but it was deemed necessary to conduct an examination within the framework of positive psychology due to the scarcity of research conducted outside of the pathology-based perspective. In this context, the PERMA Scale (Demirci et al., 2017), the Psychological Well-Being Scale (Telef, 2013), the Gratitude Scale (Yüksel & Oğuz Duran, 2012), and the Meaning of Life Scale (Demirdağ & Kalafat, 2018) were applied to 1652 people from different provinces across Turkey. As a result, in line with the literature, it was observed that well-being, gratitude, and meaning of life have positive relationships with each other. In cases such as marriage, having children, having a good income, both the PERMA model, psychological well-being and the existing meaning were high. In cases such as not having an income, being single or not having children, the meaning that was tried to be found was high. In addition, it was observed that women showed a significant difference with higher averages than men in terms of well-being and gratitude.
