Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in order to determine the species belonging to the superfamily Coccoidea (Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Coccomorpha) in Çukurova University Campus, which is very rich in terms of biological diversity, to establish a database with the molecular characterization and barcoding of the pests, to record the species in the study area and to determine their biodiversity. Light microscopy, PCR techniques, agarose gel electrophoresis, buffered solutions, gene sequencing techniques, classification techniques and barcoding techniques were used to examine these species as a result of the field studies carried out in Çukurova University Campus. As a result of these study, six species from Coccidae family, six species from Diaspididae family, six species from Eriococcidae family, one species from Monophlebidae family and 10 species from Pseudococcidae family were determined.
