Governors of Elazığ during the Republican period (1923-1950)

This study, which focuses on the governors of Elâzığ between 1923 and 1980, aims to provide an in-depth examination of the administrative history and management structure of the region. First, the identities, terms of office and administrative policies of the governors who served in the Elâzığ Governorship during this period will be discussed in detail. The periodic policies of these governors will be examined and their effects on social, economic and cultural developments in the region will be analyzed. The study will also reveal the changes in the administrative structure of Elâzığ and how these changes are related to the periodic policies of the governors. In particular, an important emphasis will be placed on how the understanding of governance in the region has evolved over time and how governors responded to these changes. In this context, the projects carried out by the governors and the milestones in the region will be discussed in detail. Additionally, the study will examine the political interactions of the region and the governors' strategies towards these interactions. It will focus on how the political environment shapes the understanding of governance in the region and how governors adapt to this environment. In this context, it will be clarified how the management strategies and policies of the region interact with political dynamics. Finally, the conclusion of the study will present a general evaluation of the governorship periods in the region and discuss the long-term effects of these periods on the administrative structure of the region. Additionally, a general framework will be presented and a general analysis of regional administrations will be made by comparing them with studies examining governorships in similar regions. This study aims to shed light on the administrative history of the region by examining the governorships of Elâzığ between 1923 and 1980. The findings obtained will provide a deeper understanding of the history and administrative structure of the region and will constitute an important resource that will shed light on future research.
