The elements of theme, language and education in post-Republican (1960-1980) child novels

A child is a creature who grows up emotionality, spritually and physically. He/She knows his/her environment beter day by day, during this period.He/She tries to do this by asking question, examining and the most important one by reading.The childish novels support this project fort he children who are between the age of ten and fifteen. Total twelve writers (Talip APAYDIN, Fakir BAYKURT, Kemal BİLBAŞAR, Abbas CILGA, Gülten DAYIOĞLU, Sulhi DÖLEK, Rıfat ILGAZ, Muzaffer İZGÜ, Tarık Dursun K., Hidayet KARAKUŞ, Mehmet SEYDA and Cahit UÇUK)'s twenty four child novals are examine from the point of theme, language and educational elements in this research. In the novels between 1960-1980 there are themes such as friendship, mother love, to help one another, to tolerate, love of life, success.The theme "love" is superior than all of these themes and beside Atatürk love, friendship love, animal love and mother love are mentional about.Social life, cultural, economical and educational elements of 1960's and 1970's are also mentioned.First of all, they should give great importance to the subjects that teenagers should know about social life.Speacially environment pollution, importance of being conscious, development of peaceful thought and being healthy are mentioned as educational subjects. Writers have tried to keep away from using the foreign words and slangs by caring the student's level of understanding.They have been careful with the choice of sentences which are positive, regular, simple and verb based.They have formed short and clear paragraphs.
