Abstract (EN)

In this study, iron oxide nanoparticle (FeO-NP) synthesized by the green synthesis method was characterized and applied at increasing doses (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mg/L) to the Hoagland nutrient solution where the bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) plant was grown. . The experiment was carried out in 3 replications and controlled conditions (16/8 hours light/dark, 25/20°C temperature and 60% humidity, light intensity 10 Klux) for 30 days in a climate room. Morphological changes during the experiment were observed in the bean plant grown in perlite medium, the chlorophyll contents of the leaves were measured before the harvest, the dry weight and Fe, N, P, K, Ca, Cu, Mn and Zn concentrations of the roots and green parts were determined. The results revealed that the effect of FeO-NP application on 5% of green parts and root Fe concentration of bean plant was statistically significant at the level of 1%. The highest Fe concentration (92.11 mg/kg) in green parts is at 10 mg/L application dose. With FeO-NP application, green component N, Mg, Cu and Mn concentrations decreased compared to the control, while P, K, Ca and Zn concentrations changed according to the application dose. While FeO-NP application in root part decreased in K and Cu concentrations compared to control group, P, Mg, Zn and Mn application dose changed. Increasing doses of FeO-NP applications decreased the dry weight of green parts compared to the control, and the effect on chlorophyll was not found to be statistically significant.
