Abstract (EN)
With the proclamation of the Republic, some changes occurred in Turkish politics. A democratic mentality began to dominate the understanding of politics. The first party of this new era, the Republican People's Party, was founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk during the period when the Turkish National Assembly began to operate and remained in power as a voice in the country's administration. About one and a half year after the establishment of the parliament, the Progressive Republican Party had an important place in politics in order to establish a second party and to create an opposition environment in the parliament. The Progressive Republican Party, which was founded in 1924, the Free Republican Party, which was founded in 1930 could not keep up with the conditions of that period, and were closed after a short political lifetime. Until 1950, the Republican People's Party remained in power alone and had a say in politics. With the Democrat Party taking its place in Turkish politics in political life, different political developments were experienced in the history of the Republic of Turkey, and a single-party period, which would last even longer than the Republican People's Party, started. In the 1950 elections, the Democratic Party got stronger and left behind the RPP power that lasted for 27 years, and entered a long-term management process that would last for 10 years. With the May 27, 1960 Military Intervention, the Democratic Party process ended and the multi-party life order changed. The DP had the power to rule the country alone in the elections held in 1950, 1954 and 1957. In Isparta, 5 deputies from the Democratic Party were elected in the 9th, 10th and 11th terms. During these periods, a total of 9 deputies represented Isparta together with other parties. Among these elected deputies were people working in the fields of education and law. In this thesis, the lives of nine deputies, their parliamentary activities are examined and the commissions they were in and their speeches in the parliament are included.
