Abstract (EN)
Evaluation of the Effect of Concentrated Growth Factor Use on Dental Implant Stability in Dental Implant Applications Treatment of tooth loss can be done with fixed and moving prosthetic restorations. However, due to the increase in aesthetic and functional expectations or inadequacy of conventional prosthetic restorations, in some cases these methods have left their place to implant supported prostheses. In appropriate indications, osseointegrated implants are very successful. Today, various researches are being done to increase the osseointegration and shorten the loading time of the prosthesis and the duration of the treatment. Considering bone healing and regeneration in the osseointegration process, thrombocytes and platelet-derived growth factors have great importance. In this study, implant and CGF (Concentrated Growth Factor) obtained by centrifuging the patient's own blood was placed, into one of the cavities prepared for the implant together , the other implant was placed without applying CGF. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of CGF on implant stability in the period of recovery by resonance frequency analysis (RFA). To ensure standardization, 12 patients with mandibular anterior teeth missing were included in the study. Two dental implants were placed in each patient. In the study group, the implant cavity was implanted with CGF membrane prior to placement of the implant and in the control group implant was placed without placement of the CGF membrane . Implant stability quotients (ISQ) values were recorded immediately after implantation and at postoperative 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th weeks by resonance frequency analysis with OsstellTM Mentor device. ISQ value differences between the periods were evaluated. Although, clinically in the group CGF applied higher ISQ values were measured at the end of 8th week than in the control group, as a result of statistical evaluations there was no statistically significant difference between the control group and CGF applied group (p>0,05). But , when evaluated for both groups the stability values of the implant increased over time(p<0,05). This is the first study in the mandibles to evaluate the impact of CGF on implant stability. When the results of our study were evaluated, it was found that CGF did not significantly increase implant stability compared to the control group. However, these findings need to be evaluated with studies involving a larger number of patient groups.
