Determination of architectural design objective system for prefabricated temporary houses after earthquake

Our country is one of the countries that frequently encounter natural disasters that cause great loss of life and property due to reasons arising from its geological and topographic structure. In addition to the social and economic consequences caused by disasters, the subject of this thesis has emerged as a result of the fact that post-disaster temporary shelter systems are still not fully constructed and the deficiencies about how certain criteria should be in today's conditions. Considering the damage statistics of natural disasters in the last sixty years, it is observed that 62% of the resulting damages are caused by earthquakes. The demolition or severe damage of many houses immediately after the disaster has revealed the necessity of providing shelter for the disaster victims quickly. As a result of this approach, it is necessary to meet the need for emergency shelter on the predetermined place and location by the authorized personnel after the disaster, to use the country's resources efficiently and for a quick solution with the pre-disaster plan prepared before, and to design a sustainable shelter system in advance. As a solution to this problem, it is revealed that the sub-sub-objective criteria of the design of a livable emergency shelter, which can be carried and installed in a practical way, suitable for environmental and climatic conditions, must be determined first. In this context, the aim of this master's dissertation is to determine the criteria for temporary accommodation units established for the post-disaster use of disaster victims.
