In a unique historical environment, the products born from the life of the people, living in mental memory and transferring from generation to generation constitute the values of folklore. The factors that determine these values are the beliefs, customs and traditions of the society, the teachings of the oral heritage from the past, the customs gained through geographical neighborhoods, etc. can be listed as. The structure formed as a result of all these formations is a source of folk culture. Our words, which enable us to communicate, give information about the characteristics of our cultural structure. In this direction, when we look at the field of Turkish folklore, it is seen that there are a lot of products and words that meet these products. This richness includes the fact that Turks have been in contact with many belief systems and teachings throughout history, their geographical structure, climatic conditions, and their perspectives on life. Words, which are the reflection of such a framework, provide important information about people's world of expression, people's views and lives. It has been recorded in various fields in terms of texts (mania, epic, anecdote etc.), transition period traditions and customs (birth, death etc.), those that are kept alive by becoming art (music, musical instruments etc.) and folklore (veterinary medicine, medicine, cuisine etc.) there are words. The words that are shaped by blending the accumulation of the past and the experience of the lived moments continue to reflect the thought world of the Anatolian people in a lively way. In the thesis, the naming of folk culture elements in the "Compilation Dictionary", which is seen as one of the comprehensive studies in the field of dialect studies, has been determined. The words found were evaluated in terms of the appropriate topic and subjected to various classifications. This study aims to explain in detail the expressions of the words related to the folk culture elements used in the folk dialect and to contribute to the studies on the folk culture elements in Turkey.
