Investigation on the fish production and fish stocking activities of the State Hydraulic Works water products stations

In this research, it was aimed to investigate the fish production and fish stocking activities of the State Hydraulic Works Water Products Stations. The main task of the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, which creates fields suitable for the production of aquaculture as a result of the activities carried out by it, is the reservoir fishery of the Water Products Stations, which is engaged to evaluate these areas. A total of 8 aquaculture stations connected to the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works have been established to carry out the work aimed at this purpose. These; İzmir-Ürkmez, Bolu-Gölköy, Adana-Seyhan, Amasya-Yedikir, Elazığ-Keban, Edirne-İpsala, Şanlıurfa-Atatürk and Sivas-Çamlıgöze Water Products Stations. In these stations, fish species suitable for biological and chemical structure of dam lakes are produced with full control. Produced fish are used for fishing of dam reservoirs, ponds and arranged natural lakes in Turkey. In this study, the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works has been working on the aquaculture models, fish stocking studies, fisheries studies and rehabilitation of lakes and ponds with new species, which are still applied in the reservoirs of our country, fish production and fishery activities of Aquaculture Production Stations mentioned above, contribution to production of aquatic products, place and importance in aquaculture sector has been investigated. In addition, fish species and quantities left in reservoirs of the State Hydraulic Works, fish species vaccinated to reservoirs for biological control, fish species stored to enhance lake productivity, fish species that are inadvertently stored during our fishery work or stocked in our other lakes has been investigated. The period specified in the research calendar has been gone to all of these Water Products Stations. The raw data of the survey work to be done face to face with the authorized persons and employees in the Water Products Stationshas been obtained in real time. A database has been created using these raw data and the output obtained by the processing of these data. Keywords: Fish production, Fish stocking, The State Hydraulic Works, Water Products Stations.
