Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the children's play played in state theaters in 2016-2017 in terms of values education and contribution to Turkish. This study is a descriptive study and was conducted using the document review method. The sample of this study forms the children's theater games called Sihirli Sirk, Tiyatro Makinası, İMBÖ, Sihirli Köpek, Savaş Çiçekleri, Ayışığı Sirki, Ali Baba ve Kırk Haramiler, Sayı Dedektifleri, Sihirli Keman. In Social Sciences Education Program, children theater plays have been examined according to a total of 21 values, including justice, caring for family unity, peace, science, hard work, solidarity, friendship, sensitivity, honesty, aesthetic, equality, self-control, freedom, patience, respect, love, responsibility, savings, patriotism, charity in terms of Values Education. It was determined that these values involved 397 times in the studied plays. In the plays examined, the most frequently found value is sensitivity (45), and the ones that are not found at all are the saving and the patriotism. The play Ayışığı Sirki contains the maximum values of 125, while the play Sihirli Sirk has the least values. The plays have been examined in terms of contribution to Turkish for proverbs idioms, reduplications, routines and onomatopeic words. As a result of investigating 9 children theatre plays, 795 findings were found. In these works, it is seen that idioms, reduplications, routines and onomatopeic words are frequently used and the proverbs are rarely used. Based on all these findings, it is concluded that children theatre plays played in state theaters in the 2016-2017 season have a rich content in terms of values; they contain less amount of proverbs in terms of their contribution to Turkish, but they contain idioms, reduplications, routines and onomatopeic words more intensively. It is thought that the plays studied can be used as resources for Turkish teaching and value education.
