The differences in the perceptions of online language instruction: Turkish and American undergraduate students

2020 of March will never be remembered as a normal spring month as it used to be but with the start of the Covid 19 pandemic. Every human being's contact had to be restricted because our life was at stake. Although many precautions have been taken by governments all over the world, unfortunately, the rapid spread of the virus could not be stopped. Thus, the education system had to make a fast and unprepared, for most of the cases, the transition from face-to-face to online instruction to slow down the spread. This study focuses on the ambiguous effect on students` perception towards complete online language instruction during the pandemic in 2020-2021with participation of American and Turkish students. The research was conducted, as it is the requirement of the pandemic, with online surveys and interviews. The data gathered from the study were analyzed using SPSS software to see any positive or negative relations among variables by looking at the means, frequencies, and consecutive data like interview notes and so on.
