Abstract (EN)
Developments in technology, particularly with the widespread of use of internet, there have been many changes in the world in the sense of social, cultural and economical.In recent years, the reflection of these developments to citizenship studies stands out. The citizenship problem also arises in the virtual world. We are not aware of having many responsibilities in the virtual world as well. This new concept of citizenship that referred to as digital citizenship in the literature has begun to take place in our lives swiftly. We must not delay providing the training for the concept of digital citizenship that we begin to recognize as e-state to our children in the schools. In this thought, some size of digital citizenship that discussed can be defined as legal, security and to defend and to apply the behaviours that enables to using of internet in a responsible way. Day by day, with the spread of internet and technological communication tools, it is observed that individuals turn into the digital citizens as an active member of the online community. But, this situation brings along many problems. The way of being able to cope with his kind of problems and being able to be effective digital citizen can be carried out with education starting from the primary school level in schools. It can be made real effectively showing citizenship education as precedent at various lessons within primary school. The purpose of this study is to determine level of digital citizenship of primary school students and to examine the effect of digital citizenship and the reflection to learning-teaching process. Therefore, mixed model is preferred. Data collection tool developed by researchers, named "Digital Citizenship Level of Secondary School Students", is used to determine digital citizenship level of secondary school students. Interviews forming the qualitative size of the research are made with 12 students studying in 6., 7., and 8. grade . Data of research is collected with ''Digital Citizenship Scale Levels'', semi-structured interviews and data collection tools. In statistical analysis of quantitative data related research, program of SPSS 21 is used. In the analysis of data related digital citizenship levels, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), t test, frequency analysis percent are used. Descriptive analysis technique is used at the analysis of qualitative data of research.The result of based-on research finding as follows; As a result of research, it has emerged that the students use technological communication tools prevalently, but they don't have enough information about their rights and responsibilities. The students has expresed that they don't know what to do in a distressed situation that may arise,from whom they seek help and where to apply while they are online. The students use the internet mostly to do homework, social media and to research. Most of the students stated that they don't know or use the website that has security, privacy and help sections. Some students have stated that they know the websites have security, privacy and help sections and they use them at times. Some students express that they don't appeal to internet and they never look at the websites.
