Abstract (EN)

This thesis explores the economic impacts of digital energy technologies within the framework of current trends, sectoral dynamics, and policy recommendations. The findings reveal that digitalization in the energy sector is not merely a technical innovation but a multidimensional transformation directly linked to economic growth, social welfare, and environmental sustainability. The study investigates the adoption of digital energy technologies in key sectors such as industry, transportation, buildings, and agriculture, highlighting their potential to increase energy efficiency, reduce production costs, lower carbon emissions, and enhance competitiveness. Furthermore, the thesis analyzes the implications of digitalization for labor markets. While routine and low-skilled jobs are increasingly automated, the demand for highly qualified professionals in fields such as data science, energy analytics, smart grid engineering, and cybersecurity is growing significantly. This shift underlines the necessity of lifelong learning and continuous training programs to ensure workforce adaptability. From a financial perspective, high initial investment costs remain a key barrier to the widespread adoption of digital energy technologies. To overcome this, financial incentives, international funding mechanisms, and public–private partnerships are identified as crucial drivers of successful implementation. Digital energy technologies emerge as more than tools for energy sector transformation. They represent strategic instruments for fostering economic growth, strengthening social inclusiveness, and promoting environmental sustainability. The study emphasizes that the integration of digital solutions into national energy strategies will be essential for achieving long-term policy objectives such as net-zero emissions, energy security, and green growth.
