Abstract (EN)
This study focuses on the relationship between propensity towards digital technologies and internet-based entrepreneurial intention, which stands as one of the cornerstones of entrepreneurship today, by examining the mediating role of innovative thinking in this relationship. The relationship between tendencies towards technological innovations and entrepreneurial intention is a prominent topic in the literature. However, there isn't a comprehensive study on the mediating effect of innovative thinking in this relationship. The aim of this study is to reveal the mediating role of innovative thinking in the impact of propensity towards digital technologies on internet-based entrepreneurial intention. In the scope of the research, data were collected from a sample of 363 university students to test the hypotheses presented in the study. A questionnaire, utilizing scales commonly used in academic literature, was employed to asses participants' tendencies towards digital technologies, internet-based entrepreneurial intentions, and innovative thinking. The results of the study demonstrate the partial mediating role of innovative thinking in the influence of propensity for digital technologies on internet-based entrepreneurship intentions. Additionally, the research findings provide important practical and theoretical implications for future entrepreneurship-focused studies. This study contributes to the literature on tendencies towards digital technologies, entrepreneurial intention, and innovative thinking, aiming to provide a foundational basis for future research in this area.
