Abstract (EN)

This study aims to investigate the transcendental foundations of language and linguistics by drawing upon Kant's transcendental philosophy. It argues that linguistic structure cannot be reduced to psychological, historical, or merely empirical explanations, but must rather be grounded in the a priori conditions that make language possible. While the research takes inspiration from Kant's transcendental aesthetics and analytic, it maintains that Kant's framework, though necessary, is not sufficient for explaining linguistic phenomena. The study therefore introduces additional transcendental acts—such as number, place, order, orientation, and three-dimensionality—to reveal their constitutive role in the formation of linguistic meaning. These concepts are presented as formal preconditions that make linguistic systems possible, thereby suggesting that linguistics itself possesses a transcendental ground and a priori principles. Ultimately, this research seeks to establish a bridge between Kant's transcendental method and the foundational principles of modern linguistics, demonstrating that language can be grounded not ontologically, but transcendentally, as a condition for the possibility of meaning.
