Abstract (EN)
This study consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the introduction, we presented information about the scope, aim, method, and sources of the subject. In the first chapter we studied the conceptual frame of the issue, depending on the lexical and terminological meanings of the respective terms of mīthāq, ʻahd, fiṭrah, qālū balā. In the second chapter entitled "Mīthāq (Covenant) in the Islamic Literature" we investigated the issue as discussed in tafsir, hadith, kalām, tasawwuf, and philosophy literatures, as this issue occupies a place of importance in all these fields, and raises several questions to be answered. For this very reason, we preferred to carry out an interdisciplinary research for the purpose of attaining a clearer understanding of the issue. In the conclusion, we expressed the final opinion that resulted from what we read. Keywords: Fitrah (Natural Disposition), Destiny, Bazm-i Alast (Pre-eternal Covenant), Mīthāq (Covenant), Qālū balā
